SSC JE

SSC conducts SSC JE exam annually for various departments such as Military Engineering Services (MES), Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Central Water Commission (CWC), and Department of Posts (India Post), etc. So if you are preparing for SSC JE 2020, check out important dates, application form, eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern, cut off, post-wise vacancies, and free mock test for SSC JE exam preparation.

SSC has released SSC JE Notification 2020 for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Surveying, and Contract) on July, 2020. Last day to apply for SSC JE 2020 is September, 2020. SSC JE Paper-I will be held from February 2021, while SSC JE Paper-II is scheduled for January 2021. SSC JE recruitment is the first major Central Government recruitment to notify the 10% reservation to Economical Weaker Section.

Candidates can check below some important points related to SSC JE 2020-21

  • The online form can be filled at ssc.nic.in from February 1, 2020, till February 25, 2020 (Up to 5:00 PM)
  • Remit fee of INR 100 along with SSC JE 2020 Application Form during submission.
  • Candidates with a bachelor degree/diploma in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering are eligible to apply for SSC JE exam.
  • Paper 1 is an objective type paper and is conducted in computer mode. While Paper 2 is a written exam.
  • Paper 1 carries a maximum of 200 marks while paper 2 carries 300 marks.
  • Duration for each paper of SSC JE exam is 2 hours.

SSC JE Syllabus 2020

SSC JE Exam is conducted through two phases- Paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is a general screening exam while paper 2 is a core engineering subject exam. SSC JE Syllabus for paper 1 is given below:
